Detailed Itinerary
21 Nights of Magic in North India
On arrival in Amritsar: Having cleared immigration, collected your luggage and passed through customs, please make your way towards the exit of the terminal building where you will see a bank of people waiting. Amongst them will be a Crafted India Holidays representative who will be waiting to greet you with a paging board with your name on.
You will be transferred to your hotel and assisted with check in.
Late evening Witness Palki Ceremony.

After breakfast, sightseeing of Amritsar. Places to visit include: Golden Temple, Jallianwala Bagh.
In the afternoon you will be taken to Wagah Border to witness the retreat ceremony.

Today after breakfast, you will drive to Dharamshala (Approx. 230 Kms, 5.5 Hrs)

Today after breakfast, you will be met with your guide who would take you for the sightseeing tour of Dharamshala.
Today we will have a tour of the colorful temple and Gompas, which reflect the culture of Tibet, an overview of the rich past, cultures and traditions of the region.
We will be visiting Dalai Lama Temple – the residence of His Holiness the Dalai Lama in McLeod Ganj is surrounded by high walls and sits on the edge of a cliff overlooking the valley. Besides the Dalai Lama’s living quarters, the complex also includes offices of the government in exile.
Bhagsu Nag temple – an ancient temple of Bhagsunath have many freshwater springs close by, which are considered sacred by the Hindus The Norbulingka Institute named after the 18th century residence of the 7th Dalai Lama, teaches about 100 students various skills including wood and metal craft, silk weaving and thangka paintings.
The Institute has a four-and-a-half meter gilded image of Buddha besides over a thousand painted images on its walls. A small museum has an interesting display of traditional dolls made by the local monks.
Amongst them is the Church of St. John in the Wilderness, built in 1860. Worth a visit for its beautiful stained glass windows, the church was severely damaged in a major earthquake that rocked the region in 1905. Rebuilt subsequently, the church has old bells that had been cast in London and installed in 1915.
Evening free to explore Mc Leod Ganj on own – originally home of the semi-nomadic Gaddi tribe, McLeod Ganj is today the residence of His Holiness, the Dalai Lama. This mid 19th century place was developed as a British Garrison. The place was developed as an important administrative point for the whole Kangra valley. Today the place has developed as headquarters of the exiled Tibetan Government. The impressive monastery has larger than life size images of Buddha, Padmasambhava and Avaloketeshwara. After sightseeing drive to Palampur.

Upon arrival check in at your hotel.

After breakfast, you will be taken to Shimla railway station to experience the Toy Train ride from Shimla to Taradevi (1015-1135 Hrs). Arrive Tara devi and drive to Shimla and enjoy the sightseeing of Shimla.

After leisurely breakfast, transfer to Chandigarh railway station to board Vande Bharat Express @ 1515 hrs. Arrival at New Delhi station @ 1825 Hrs and transfer to the hotel.

Today morning you will be provided assisted departure transfer to railway station to board the train for Agra (Gatimaan Express @ 0810 / 0950 hrs).
Arrive Agra station proceed to visit Agra fort. Check in at hotel and later visit Mehtab Bagh

Today early morning visit Taj Mahal (Closed on Friday). Later return back to hotel for breakfast.
After breakfast, drive from Agra to Jaipur (240 Km / 05 Hrs Approx.) enroute visit Fatehpur Sikri with guide and Abhaneri (without guide).

After breakfast, full day city tour of Jaipur. Places to visit includes: Amer Fort, City Palace, Jantar Mantar, Hawa Mahal.

After breakfast, visit City Palace and Sahelion ki Bari. Later enjoy boat ride at Lake Pichola on shared basis.
