A spiritual powerhouse – Kamakhya Temple
Perched atop Nilachal Hill in Guwahati, the Kamakhya Temple is one of the most revered pilgrimage sites in India. It’s a powerful symbol of feminine energy and attracts both devotees and curious travelers.

Kaziranga
A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Kaziranga is home to the endangered one-horned rhinoceros, elephants, tigers, wild water buffaloes, and exotic birds. Take a thrilling jeep or elephant safari through tall grasslands and wetlands.

Detailed Itinerary
8 Nights of Magic in Assam to Arunachal Pradesh
Meet and greet by our representative at Guwahati Airport. Begin your journey with a scenic drive from Guwahati to Kaziranga, covering approximately 195 kilometres in about 5 to 6 hours.
Upon arrival in Kaziranga, check into the resort.
Overnight stay at Kaziranga.
Wake up early for an elephant safari through the grasslands of Kaziranga National Park, famous for its population of the one-horned rhinoceros. Later in the day, embark on a jeep safari in one of the park’s zones to spot more wildlife such as wild buffalo, elephants, deer, and possibly even a tiger. You can also visit the Kaziranga Orchid and Biodiversity Park to witness the region’s rich floral diversity.
After breakfast, begin your journey towards Dirang, a quaint hill town in Arunachal Pradesh. The drive takes around 8 to 9 hours, covering roughly 270 kilometres.
Arrive in Dirang by evening and unwind amidst the serene mountain setting.
Today’s drive from Dirang to Tawang is about 135 kilometers and typically takes 6 to 7 hours.
Further along, stop at the Jaswant Garh War Memorial dedicated to a brave Indian soldier. Before reaching Tawang, you can also enjoy the stunning Nuranang (Jang) Falls.
Arrive in Tawang and settle in for the night.
Spend the day exploring the cultural and historical gems of Twang. Start with a visit to the famous Twang Monastery, the largest in India and an important centre of Mahayana Buddhism. Visit the Urgelling Monastery. You can also explore local craft centres. In the evening, attend the light and sound show at the War Memorial.
Overnight stay at Twang.
Begin your descent from Tawang towards Balipara, home to the heritage Wild Mahseer Resort. The long journey of approximately 320 kilometers can take around 10 to 11 hours, so an early start is essential.
Upon arrival, relax in the colonial charm of the resort set amidst lush tea gardens.
After a leisurely morning at Wild Mahseer, drive back to Guwahati, a journey of around 200 kilometers taking 4 to 5 hours.
Reach Guwahati by evening and check into your hotel for a comfortable overnight stay.
Today is dedicated to exploring the highlights of Guwahati. Begin early with a visit to the revered Kamakhya Temple.
Later, take a ferry ride to the Umananda Temple situated on an island in the Brahmaputra River. You may also visit the Assam State Museum or the Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra for a dose of local culture. In the evening, enjoy a relaxing sunset cruise on the Brahmaputra.
Depending on your flight schedule, you may have time for some last-minute shopping at Fancy Bazaar. Afterward, proceed to the airport for your departure, concluding a memorable journey through Assam and Arunachal Pradesh.
